Spoilers
This part of the River of London series felt really like a case of the week-thing. I didn't mind it all that much because the universe is interesting either way and it's been a while since I read the previous book.
It was interesting how much the book was focused on Abigail. I think Aaronovitch is getting ready to turn her into his main protag because Peter's story is almost told, there isn't that much he can still do with him that would feel fresh. I wonder what that would mean for Nightingale, he was hardly a part in this one.
I like Abigail but I'm not sure I like her enough to follow her through several books. Also, in regards to this book, I was really surprised that the thing between Abigail and Ione didn't turn out to be a clamour. Though, that might still happen.
Pretty solid book though not the best in the series.
